The BTRDA series' official preview of the Trackrod, published a week ahead of the event, numbers the rally as round six of the 2026 series. English Rally Championship leaders Elliot Payne and Patrick Walsh arrive five points clear of Pete Gorst and Mark Twiname, with Daniel Sigurðarson and Ásta Sigurðadóttir just behind, after Payne and Walsh won the non-championship Woodpecker Stages in a hired Fabia Rally2. The preview expects the two title crews and Sigurðarson to contest the front-running places in Skodas; Sigurðarson is second in the Gold Star standings so far this season. BTRDA series preview →
