The 2026/27 Protyre Circuit Rally Championship will run from November 2026 to April 2027, its 11th season, with nine one-day circuit-based stage rallies and competitors counting their best seven scores from the nine rounds.

Championship format

The series is again organised collectively by the circuit rally event organising clubs, with Dukeries Motor Club Ltd holding the Motorsport UK Championship Permit on behalf of that group. It keeps seven competition classes, including Class 10 for more standard rally cars, which the championship says is designed to further improve accessibility for newcomers to stage rallying. The new 116i Rallye Series, for BMW 1 Series Hatchback E87 models built between 2004 and 2011, joins the championship this season, with its competitors registering and competing within Class 8.

Protyre remains title sponsor for the season, attending every round and running its Protyre Awards Scheme, which rewards eligible Protyre customers in the overall results and in a featured class at each round; championship registration includes entry to those awards. Motorsport News continues as the championship’s media partner. Driver registration costs £50, and co-driver registration £30.

Round four will not run: Chelmsford Motor Club announced on 7 October 2026 that a larger programme of winter circuit works at Brands Hatch left the planned January date unavailable and no alternative could be found, so the club is taking a one-year break and intends to return in 2028. The championship calendar still lists the round at the time of writing.

The season opens at Oulton Park, where the Bolton-le-Moors Club’s Neil Howard Stages traditionally closes out the circuit’s own race season and pairs the rally with a fireworks display, running the field over bespoke routes that include the venue’s signature water splash. Round four, the Brands Hatch Winter Stages, uses the circuit itself along with pitlane and other areas not normally open to competition, with some stages run in the reverse of the circuit’s racing direction; it is organised by Chelmsford Motor Club and sponsored by MGJ Engineering. The Dukeries Motor Club’s round at Donington Park runs largely on the circuit and its perimeter roads, on a course that is around 98 per cent asphalt.

What’s next

Championship registration is £50 for drivers and £30 for co-drivers, and each round’s entries page above shows when entries open. The season runs through the winter and into spring, closing with the Alan Healy Memorial Rally at Cadwell Park on 25 April 2027.
